What forms of payment do you accept?
Our preferred payment method is Direct Deposit into our bank account (please contact us for more details). We also accept Cash and all credit cards that are accepted by PayPal.
Why use Vinyl instead of Paint?
Vinyl does not peel, crack, splinter, or fade and is removable
Is the vinyl removable?
For stickers/signage - Yes, applying a little heat (using a hairdryer or heat gun - on low) will ensure that the vinyl is removed easily. If there is surface residue left, clean with a small amount of grease and wax remover (available at all good auto stores).

What is the minimum life expectancy of the vinyl?
According to the manufacturer of the intermediate vinyl we use for our signage, the minimum life that can be expected is 2-5 years, depending on weather conditions / location. This vinyl is suitable for medium-term outdoor applications.

What colours are available in the vinyl?
There are many vinyl colours to choose from. Please see our Colour Chart page for more details (note, the shade of colour may appear slightly differently on different computer monitors).
What is the application process?
There are several methods of applying vinyl to a surface. If you plan to apply vinyl yourself, we can provide you with advice and links to relevant YouTube videos so you can watch the process.
Can I order online and have my stickers sent to me?
Yes, please contact us and we can add it to an online store for you.
Do you install stickers/signage?
Yes, we install stickers/signage at our Heddon Greta workshop or we can come to you – in the Newcastle/Lower Hunter region. For all other areas, please contact us.
Can I install the stickers and signage myself?
Yes, the lettering and graphics come pre-spaced and are perfectly aligned, ready to apply to your window, door, vehicle, etc. Most of these graphics can be easily installed yourself, however if you are not comfortable with the installation we are happy to help.
Please note, however, that any self-installation will void the 12 month warranty.

How long is the warranty period for signage/stickers installed on my vehicle or business?
We provide a 12-month replacement warranty on our signage/stickers. This is on all OUR installs - not self installations. So, if the vinyl fails within 12 months, we will replace it free of charge. Any failures thereafter are not covered by warranty, but please contact us, as depending on the issue, we may be able to recommend an easy solution.
What about copyright?
The Vinyl Tree will not knowingly produce any form of stickers or graphics that infringe copyright, e.g. trademarks, logos, licensed characters, sporting team logos, etc. Permission from the copyright holder is needed in order to use such images. If you can supply an original certified letter from the company that you have permission to use their trademark or logo, we will happily produce the stickers for you.
Can I provide the image/design I want for my signage needs, or can you create something?
Yes, you can create your own designs (or provide examples of the type of image you are looking for). If you are providing an image/design, please email it or bring it on a memory stick with you on the day.
Designs/images cannot include gradients, or similar graphic effects (e.g. fadeouts).
Our signage/stickers are cut from solid coloured vinyl and can be anything from a single colour to three colour graphics.
If possible, image files should be one of the following file types, .eps, .ai or .pdf, as these formats are SCALABLE. This will save us time and you money. All other file types will incur a small redraw fee (e.g. .jpeg, .png, .bmp, etc.)
If you don’t have a design already, we are happy to sit down with you and come up with a design. We have an extensive image library and can search for other images if needed, so let us know what you are looking for, and we will give you some ideas.

Can I get a digital copy of the designs you make for me?
No, as all custom designs created by The Vinyl Tree remains our intellectual property.
This protects us against people taking our designs to other signage companies or a person with a vinyl cutter who may provide cheaper, substandard products.

Can registered charities get a discount?
Yes, charities registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) may be eligible for a discount. Please contact us for more info.
